The Story of Iyanu Avenue

Iyanu Avenue is a black-owned business based in the U.K. specialising in handmade African jewellery and accessories.

Iyanu means amazing in Yoruba, a language from which many Creoles lend a vast majority of their heritage. The word Iya also means mother in Susu, a language local to our home, Sierra Leone. Nu also means clean.

To that end, our passion is to spread a fresh and wonderful narrative of our motherland to the masses.
